James Island Real Estate

The Town of James Island is a unique island in South Carolina with a rich history. Nestled amongst the deep blue waters of the Charleston Harbor and the meandering Stono and Folly Rivers, James Island boasts scenic marsh views and majestic oak trees with plenty of outdoor activities and historical places. Fort Sumter, the site of the first battle of the Civil War is located on an island just off the eastern tip of James Island and McLeod Plantation, a former Sea Island cotton plantation.

Once largely agricultural mainly growing Sea-Island cotton, James Island is now primarily a residential community with a great sense of community and a small-town feel perfectly situated between Folly Beach and downtown Charleston.
