Dewees Island

When privacy is important to home ownership on Isle of Palms, make sure that you add Beachside to your list of properties to tour. This private community is situated just off Palm Blvd. and is close to the Coastal Retreat Center entrance. Home ownership in this neighborhood gives you private access to the beach, tennis courts, and the pool. Another factor to consider here is the minimal traffic which makes for a peaceful and quiet community.  Located near the business district for Isle of Palms, your Beachside home will provide you with convenience when you need to do errands or complete business transactions in town.

The Beachside community has only 52 homes which makes it an excellent location if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle found in many Low Country neighborhoods. You’ll find two story homes in Beachside that have lush landscaping and exteriors that are almost maintenance free; this means that you can enjoy the beach or the golf course during your leisure time instead of working on your home. Beachside homes feature from three to four bedrooms with two to three bathrooms which gives you plenty of room to host family and friends from out of town. Many of the homes in Beachside have screened-in porches, large decks where you can grill out, and lawns with plenty of space for outdoor games. Expect the homes to have upgraded appliances, plenty of counter and storage space, and floor plans that are conducive to entertaining and living comfortably.

Living at Beachside on the Isle of Palms will provide you with a host of activities and events to attend and enjoy with your family. Place the Fireworks Show held on July 4th on your calendar along with the September end of the season party, the Halloween Carnival, and the Easter Egg Hunt in the spring. You can also watch movies and enjoy get-togethers with your neighbors on the beach but remember to bring a blanket or chair and a few snacks. You’ll also want to check out the Giant Kayak Race, the Taste of the Islands, and the Triathlon which tests your stamina and endurance.

With Charleston just a short drive away you can visit Patriots Point, Gibbes Museum, and take the children to the South Carolina Aquarium. You’ll find a myriad of restaurants, shopping centers, and a host of water sports and activities to keep you engaged all year.

Owning property at the Beachside community on Isle of Palms will be an excellent location from which you can base all your Low Country adventures and outings.
